In 1968, I came across a beautiful piece of cloth which was enough for me to be drawn into the world of textiles.
After this incidence I started to create textiles that were mainly two-dimensional tapestries using natural materials and fabrics.
In 1975, in the process of creating works, I happened to hit upon the idea that by using metallic thread for the warp.
After that, I installed many tapestries composed of cloths with a metallic backbone.
I try both two-dimensional and three-dimensional various creative experimentations.
Moreover, I try to achieve works that the juxtaposition of technological symbols with tradition and nature
such as weaving, stitching, twisting, binding and entwining like has been used from time immemorial.
